@RepPressley
I know your bible burst into flames when you touched it, but it’s biblical - The Apostle, Paul said : “He who does not work, neither shall he eat”
Because those who produce nothing (except the truly infirm) deserve nothing - it’s why Socialism/Communism don’t work in practice - too many deadbeats want to leech off the labors of others....

Not sure which version you’re using, but KJV doesn’t say that. “WOULD not” implies he’s able to work but is making a choice to be lazy. Of course there are people who aren’t able to work and they should eat.

“that if any WOULD NOT work, neither should he eat.”

These new freeloading, Illegal aliens didn’t come here to work. The piggy, Joe Pedo imported them to have “a better life” funded with U.S. taxpayers dollars and that all they have to do is vote for the Party of Death, Destruction and Assassins, eat all meals at restaurants and shop when they aren’t stuffing themselves.

Tomorrow Jesus is condemned for requiring repentance.

An extremely liberal Facebook friend just posted something agreeing with the new requirement. Based on that, this isn’t an 80/20 issue, it’s more like 95/5.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

2 Thessalonians 3:10 shows us that Apostle Paul was led by the Holy Spirit to teach us that if you do not work then you do not eat.

You don’t get people to work for poor wages.

What if the alternative is no gifted money or free anything.

Somehow we all knew it would be a Democrat complaining about a person who is possibly capable of working for their food, but would choose not to. I guess their thinking is just wired this way.

What % of SNAP recipients are disabled?

AI: Among non elderly SNAP recipients, 10% were disabled. No data among the elderly, but it will be much higher.

Also — 79% of SNAP households have at least one member who is disabled.

Is disability fraud or incorrect or not properly declared?

That’s a different subject vs working hours for SNAP recipients. If you do not think the 10% and 79% numbers are accurate, do your own research that collects the raw data from USDA.

SNAP already requires work to get aid.

I’d need to know the specifics for the 79% disabled to decide on accuracy.

Is a child in the household who has been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, minor motor skill or learning delays or dyslexia considered “disabled”. Is having treatable diabetes or high BP included? Having a “doctor’s note” regarding your “bad back”?

Largely valid points, except that’s not the issue. The issue is work hours to get SNAP. If able to work then we get into the fuzzy part of *not really disabled*.

Elderly who are disabled (or even not) and on SNAP, it’s not rational to expect them to work.

I used the NIV - but I got the same meaning - those who are actually incapable due to physical/mental deficiencies need to be taken care of - used to be the Churches did that - but these days the churches (especially the one based in Rome) hang tight to their cash and keep asking for more even though the one in Rome is probably one of the wealthiest entities on the face of the planet.
