What do you think they are doing with IVF??? That is exactly what they are doing! Jurassic Park embryos being implanted into woman. They have to make at least 40 embryos just to get one perfect one. That means say several have downs, several are defective in other ways, others are say a boy and they wanted a girl or vice versa and those embryos get destroyed.
All I need now is Dr Ian Malcolm to come along and say “this is a bad idea in a long history of bad ideas” because you just know Chaos theory will play out into this and somehow it will go bad.

I worked with and for people with developmental disabilities for decades. Many of them with Down Syndrome. 99.9999% of them were happier than any liberal democRAT.
I guess this is the first type of person that we notice has been removed from the human race by killing them once identified in the womb, already Danes are looking at people they love, a neighbor or an aunt or uncle or brother and adapting to the idea that their kind will be erased as we move on from that type of person, knowing that more types will be added to the elimination list as we continue to seek perfection in our children.
I was born with a severe club foot and use that as an example of abortion on demand. They were able to correct it through surgeries and casts when I was a baby. The only thing bad that I recall about it was having to wear leather dress shoes through Junior High while everyone else was wearing sneakers.
I ended up doing very well at the sport of my choice. My parents would often say how unbelievable it was given the state of my foot/leg when I was born.
I’m not sure you meant it the way I read your sentence about aunts and uncles, but it may also go so far as to getting rid of the aunts and uncles that have become a “burden” on society. Which is easier to sell when a country has a socialist government where everyone pitches in to take care of the care and cost of each other.

Down Syndrome is now treatable through CRISP. I don’t know what that means, however, when it comes to capability of somebody who is cured of Down Syndrome.
However, they are people who can function. I saw a documentary of somebody with Down’s who bought a restaurant and runs it.
In other news, it was leaked yesterday that Danish scientists had discovered tests which determine religious devotion of embryos, hearkening possible draconian misuse of the technology and comparison to Hitler-era policies against Jews.
