Y’know, air conditioning is less than 200 years old I think, and Egypt gets quite hot during the year. It’s gotta be cooler underground, or inside, say, a massive pyramid. That’s probably why the pharaohs wanted burial of some sort, they didn’t want to be bakin’ in the afterlife.
