Have you ever read the Book of Enoch. Yes I know they are pseudepigrapha but I still find this great historically.
In Enoch it says:
12 The fifth, Kâsdêjâ, revealed to the children of men all the evil afflictions of spirits and demons, the smiting of embryos in the womb to cause miscarriage, and the bites of the serpent, and the afflictions that occur at noon, the son of the serpent named Tabâêt.
Think of that, “Smiting of embryos in the womb”. Even Enoch knew what they were doing.

By the way, the book of Enoch, or rather of Enoch? In Jude 1 14 Now of these Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying: Behold, the Lord cometh with thousands of his saints,
Or, better start fooling around quick and get pregnant quick.
