This is delusional.
Yes, many of us know, but we are powerless to enact what should be done with Gaza and almost all Gazans/Palestinians living around the world.
Yes it is. Trump seems to push delusion over facts when it comes to positioning himself as the man of peace. Too much marketing going on there.

Now that the Israeli hostages are out of Gaza, Israel can fight back without restraint.

You’re right. This is not a peace treaty, such as the ones that have ended most wars in the past. Muslims wants every Israeli dead and Israel gone. So it’s only a pause in the fighting.
This is not to take anything away from Trump’s accomplishments here. Israel was being (unfairly) isolated by most of the world. So perhaps a pause was necessary.
Who does Trump think will disarm Hamas? Muslim Peacekeepers? Good

All of history is war and periods in between.
This is a prime example of Trump playing a bazillion D chess.
On the surface it seems the Muslim world is at war with Israel, but in reality, the Shia (Iran) who have taken ownership of the Jihad, while the Sunis in charge (Saudi Arabia, Quatar, UAE) have traded global commerce for conquest since the Gulf War, while becoming the dominant sect in the region
The Obama administration however aggressively tried to up-end this by making replacing Suni dominance with Shia by enabling Iran to pursue its quest for nuclear weapons, and would almost certainly result in the destruction of Israel.
The Sunis are more afraid of Iran then they are of Israel, and are more than willing to keep Hamas under control in order to preserve their own economic and political dominance.
"Delusional" is too strong, maybe even too bitter. It is optimistic, for sure, but this is truly a day for optimism. And hope. There are a lot of countries sharing the hope and the burden.
Lets wait to see the outcome of the Summit in Egypt.
President Sisi is level headed. Remember, Egyptians are not Arabs. Even if most speak Arabic.

All this yak-yak about the coming failure of the peace. Which is the precise prescription for a self-fulfilled prophecy. How many foreign affairs geniuses (and I’m not one) predicted a year ago that those hostages could be recovered alive by Trump diplomacy? All we ever read here was violence up to and including nukes against Hamas. Certainly failure and sabotage are possible. Just yesterday we read where a splinter warlord-ish group sprang into action to attack Hamas for giving in to peace. But those hostages are freed without catastrophic loss of life in a military rescue operation. And that’s not to mention the collateral victory of PDJT.
Namely that the anti-semitic protesters all across the globe are being deprived of their Hamas cause. There is nothing more devastating that professional peace protesters than peace.
For Pete’s sake, people. Take the win. Gird for the next battle, but take the blessed win.
