I’ve never stayed in a hotel that provided drinks and snacks as freebies for guests. I have stayed in hotels that take an inventory of things (like bath salts from the Dead Sea) they leave out for guests and charge that to the room.
As far as I can tell, the only things hotels give for free are the little bars of soap and bottles of shampoo.
Things would have been free for this Karen too, had she not unplugged the mini fridge for days.
Jeesh!
LOL. I was stationed in Europe and traveled to London for vacation back in the early 80's. I bit into a Burger King hamburger and cracked a tooth that already had a root canal. I stayed at a hotel near the embassy for a night to get a temp put in. I had to give the hotel ~$250 in advance to cover for the mini bar in the room. I got the money back when I left. I was travelling with some cash and travelers checks. $250 was a lot of money for young sailor back in the day..
I get waters and coffees at most hotels I stay at. Sometimes little bags of chips or crackers.
Many leave you shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap. Some now have a dispenser for shampoo and conditioner instead of the little bottles and I have NEVER been charged for them.
I have stayed at one hotel in my whole life that had the refrigerator bar you had to pay for and I did not touch it. They did not have sensors on them either like in Vegas.
Okay, I forgot about the little free packets of coffee that most hotels provide. I usually don’t use those and go down to the breakfast area in the morning.
The only hotel where I saw a refrigerator filled with drinks and snacks was a Hilton. And Hilton did not have a breakfast area. It was pretty obvious from the signs in the room that anything I removed from the refrigerator would be charged on my bill. So I didn’t take anything from the refrigerator.
