Most North Indians are, indeed, Caucasian. South Indians are largely Dravidian. Some Pakistanis ̣including Patels are Dravidian. Some are IndoEuropean/Caucasian.

1) Retired, I make a “migration” of a typical snowbird. Nearly every motel overnight involves a “Patel”. Sometimes, the boss and an underling are both Patels.

2) A relative was in the airline reservation business. She said Patels drove her crazy with coupons, discounts, and cancelations.
