Let's say that he dedicates 10% of all tariff revenue for rebate checks and sends them to only the bottom 70% of tax filers and then only if they are legally in the country. Most of the Democrats oppose it and it only narrowly passes.
Checks go out October 25 of each year near the start of the new fiscal year after the tariff receipts are tallied up. Ten days later, they go vote. You have a nice wedge issue to keep them in the minority.
You can even have a sliding scale so that the bottom 71% to 98% get something. Only the richest 2% are excluded since they can afford to buy American and didn't pay into the tariffs in theory.
Make it sort of like rewarding a debtor by taking him out to a nice dinner as he reaches certain repayment milestone.
Your and my opinions are pretty much the same. - I can agree with Paul we need to reduce the debt, but I’d like for Trump to be able to implement his agenda without all the drama.
“”Also voting with the democrats””
Two problems - Ron Paul isn’t in congress any longer...and you’re confusing the father with the son....
“”One thing Ron Paul is good at is attacking President Trump and other Republicans. Also voting with the democrats...””
A former congressman can’t vote!
I’m with Dr. Paul, but with a caveat: government never hesitates to take your money. Any time you can get money from the government, TAKE IT.
Ron Paul can kiss my bright shiny Irish butt.
Any money that could be refunded to the taxpayer should instead be used to pay off the debt.
