Well, that is creepy.
Do you understand what “Rest in Peace” means?

The cubs got everything they deserved in ‘84. We were called “quiche eating wimps” by the media snobs from chicago.

More likely, someone below is just working to make their ultimate choke all the more painful. Unlike Cleveland which lost and Cincinnati which got spanked like a Reds-headed stepchild.

Good win by the Cubs and on to Milwauke... and congrats to the Padres on a good season. But revenge for 1984* **?! Kurt Bevacqua, Leon Durham, Dick Williams, and Steve Garvey are long long gone.
*: Was that the year of Rick Sutcliffe?!
**: Padres lost to the Tigers in the World Series in five games.

Unlike Cleveland which lost and Cincinnati which got spanked like a Reds-headed stepchild.Cleveland overcame a tremendous deficit just to make the playoffs. That is to be congratulated. So they came up short in the three-game series.... no shame.

Cincinnati which got spanked ...Reds were totally overmatched but hey, they made the playoffs (more than the Mets can say).

The Cubs almost blew it. Nineth inning, 3 run lead, pitching change for the Cubs. First San Diego batter gets a homerun, the next one strikes out, then the pitcher hits the next two batters. He gets yanked. Next pitcher induces a ground out and fly out to end the game.
Though I was watching the play by play ticker on Yahoo Sports, I was about ready to throw something at my TV.

P.S. I think Brad Keller needs to be kept OFF the next playoff roster.

More likely, someone below is just working to make their ultimate choke all the more painful. Unlike Cleveland which lost and Cincinnati which got spanked like a Reds-headed stepchild. I know how Cubs fans feel. I was a Rams fan in the 60s and 70s, when the team would get our hopes up only to find a way to choke at the end of the season.
Being a Dodgers fan, I have always hated the Cincinnati Redlegs, and these days, I will always root for the Cleveland Baseball Team to lose, no matter whom they are playing.

Well the Lions did also beat the Browns on Sunday, as well.

Reds were totally overmatched but hey, they made the playoffs (more than the Mets can say). Both teams lost their final game of regular season. It reminded me of a South Park where the kids were trying to lose so the season would end and they would get their free time back. Unfortunately their opponents felt the same way.
