[That is a lie. Those cities are NOT under the Republican governor purview UNLESS the Rat mayor of those filthy rat cities ask for it.

The rat mayors are not asking for police help. They only want $cash.

I say let those rat cities fester. They voted for rat mayors and they deserve to get what’s coming.]

He’s actually raising a good point. Federalism limits a president’s powers re local law enforcement. He can’t fire state officials, take over state government. Whereas governors have broad powers within their states, can often either fire or override local officials. For instance, DeSantis had two local DAs sidelined for being soft on crime. Missouri is about to take over St. Louis’s criminal justice system because its black population keeps voting in, with Soros’s backing, pro-criminal officials.

Crime festers in DEMOCRAT CITIES.

I showed this a week or so ago ... the “Red State” cities that they complain about being crime ridden have black democRAT mayors.

But we’re not allowed to talk about that.

So I will.

The worst crime cities have BLACK DEMOCRAT mayors. Black democRATs in power lead to rampant crime.

GOP governors may be stepping gingerly with respect to their crime-infested black plurality or majority cities because of a fear of the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ, which might sue or prosecute them for attempting to re-establish Jim Crow, disfranchise blacks. It’s also a political minefield. No Republican official wants to raise black voter propensity or that of their white Democrat allies.

Exactly.

The fact is, that anyone who points out that 40% of the violent crime is committed by probably 3-4% of the population is going to be labeled as a racist, regardless of the irrefutable truth of it.

Therefore, when the race-baiters in and out of government whipped up the citizenry to "support" BLM and "defund the police" because they assert falsely that "black men were being murdered by institutionally racist police in disproportionate numbers for no reason at all" the voices who pointed this inconvenient fact of those damning statistics were drowned out because the Left (inclusive of the Media and the Democrat party) knew that they could get away with this particular form of race-baiting because most people wouldn't speak out for fear of being branded "racist" and they could just ignore and "fact check" the citizens who were brave enough to speak out.

So when Trayvon Martin was shot as he pummeled a man trying to protect his neighborhood, the "Gentle Giant" Michael Brown was shot after he robbed a convenience store, and George Floyd was canonized as a Saint, if there had been more people cognizant of the fact that 40% of violent crime is committed by 3-4% of the population, they would recognize immediately that the reason these criminals were killed had less to do with their race and being shot because of it, and more to do with the fact that when police are looking for suspects in violent crimes, they are more often interacting with people who have high melanin content in their skin who resist arrest even when provably a suspect in a given crime as Saint George was.

That is what we should do with that information. Inform people. That way, organizations such as BLM would have a harder time convincing non-racist people of their fallacious assertion that "black men were being murdered by institutionally racist police in disproportionate numbers for no reason at all".

By the way, I use the statistic of 3-4% of the population committing 40% of the crime. So, men are predominately responsible for that 40% of violent crime, and they make up half of the black community, so that brings it down to 6% of the total population.

I saw a statistic using a Leftist source that said that 50% of all black men between the ages of 17 and 45 have a felony conviction. (The remainder are either working to make a living, not prone to criminality, or...haven't been caught. That is why I use that number of 3-4% and not 12%. I think it is a truer picture of the situation. (and certainly black women do commit violent crime, but the percentage would be far lower, IMO.)

When I became aware of the FBI's Crime Reporting Database (accessible to all for data analysis and manipulation) I spent a good deal of time in there slicing and dicing the statistics which were voluntarily supplied by Law Enforcement localities all over the country and made available to concerned citizens.

I am retired now, but I did data analysis of this kind when I was working.

However, since 2021, many localities stopped voluntarily supplying local crime statistics to the FBI because people could, you know, actually look at the data itself and reach "racist" conclusions, so that is why you keep hearing the Left (inclusive of the Democrats and Media) stating brazenly that Brainless Brandon had reduced crime, even though your own lying eyes told you otherwise.

The author is making a good point, just not in the way he intends. The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division stands in the way of red state governors taking full control of black-run municipalities. Because to prevent black local pols from destroying the cities they run is to restore Jim Crow, or something. The worst part of Civil Rights Division overreach is how it reached outside former Confederate states to impose consent decrees on Union states.

In firing black and white DAs in high black population areas who refused to enforce the law, DeSantis pushed back, hard. So far, Democrat legal challenges to his firings have failed. But for governors, it’s definitely a legal and maybe career minefield that involves going to war with the Civil Rights Division.

Many of these pols go on to corporate board seats or sinecures after exiting politics. How many want to be tarred as racists in the media, thereby ending up on corporate blacklists?

People say politics should not be a career. How would the average pol feel about working as a burger flipper after being blacklisted for higher level jobs after quitting the political arena?
