The only good song written about a female actress was Bette Davis Eyes.

Surprised they mentioned the drop 19s. I used to live that band. They were on The Adventures of Pete and Pete a lot as backing music.

Same. See my post above this one.

How they opened the show:

Primus - AMERICAN LIFE (LIVE) Aug '25 in San Diego at CA Coast CU Open Air Theater (SDSU)

That was earlyish in the set, they started with Groundhog’s Day.

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/primus/2025/synovus-bank-amphitheater-at-chastain-park-atlanta-ga-3b580018.html

We did get WBBB as the encore. The set list notes it as “tour debut”.

Les did comment very favorably on the venue, said he’d never been there before despite having played Atlanta a lot, where had we been hiding it? Which was cool, as I’ve been there 300+ times over the years (use to have season tickets for the Summer rock series).

I like the one that Elton John wrote about Marilyn Monroe.

Does your son watch South Park? Primus did the opening and closing songs. The slower closing is the original track. But the network wanted a faster version. They were on tour and didn’t have time so they said just speed it up. And the singer cut new vocals on a tape recorder. And mailed them the tape.

Speaking of missed venues, I missed all the wwf stuff and just recently went to a professional wrestling show. It was freaking awesome! The crowd was so excited. Try that if you get a chance.

In the 1990s, it seemed like everyone was obsessed with Winona Ryder.

Errant statement. I've never heard of her until now.

I think she was in Bettlejuice. I remember her being kind of cute. In fact I remember the Mom being pretty hot too. And recently I read that the guy who played the Dad is now a registered sex offender.

“And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time...”

Love that song. I just got home from lunch with a friend and running errands.

Perfect time to put it on the sound bar.
