The biggest part of being a male homosexual is being queer, as a movement it liked messing with society and beating on people’s sensitivities and shocking them, but like the article points out, trying to be normal and getting married and being monogamous is against everything that being queer is all about, and is no fun, and is impossible for them to do, the twisted deviancy is the joy of the whole identity.
Reusable tampoons, now this. Go away.
Most people in those days knew who was “that way,” who was “light in the loafers.I'm not sure "those days" was 2008, but point taken.
I misread that reference to 2008. So the point was that in the (whatever) past, homosexuality was understood to exist but not openly endorsed, as it is today. That’s nothing new, as in the late 1800s a British matriarch said, essentially, that it’s okay with her whatever they do “so long as they don’t scare the horses.”
Honestly, that’s the way it should be.
Though the 1970s more integrated gay into mainstream culture, Obama definitely normalized it, to the extent that Trump used a gay anthem in his 2024 campaign.
Texas had considered it to be a crime up until a liberal Supreme Court overruled it, thus legalizing sodomy across the country.
