There was a girl who listened to language tapes across from me at the library, but I only noticed and was friends with her, as a fellow language buff, and a Spanish aristocratic scion with whom I took the bus every day. Everybody else was the wallpaper of Planet Me.
I did too. I had a blast with their male counterparts.
