Maybe people are wising up to the scam that is the casino. Author James Swain has written several novels in which he details how casinos conspire to relieve customers of their money. Shows and food are nice, but it’s always about attracting sheep to the tables to scam away their dough.

No...better yet, ignore Canada. Nothing special up there that can’t be had elsewhere.

Canada is responsible for $20.5 billion in US tourism. Our total income in the US from tourism is about $2 trillion.

Canada is about 1% of our tourist income.

Canadians not coming to Vegas is not the issue.

Let them boycott.

Public programs? I see money going in and not much coming out.

Canada is about 1% of our tourist income.

And there is simply no reason to visit Canada and spend our dollars there, unless you are a curler attending a bonspiel.

A city of over a million metro area that has absolutely no reason to exist.

I’m laying in bed at Caesars LV as I type this.

Las Vegas haters overly criticize Las Vegas. To each his own. VIVA Las Vegas!!! We are having a blast.

And likewise all the glitter amusements in the Middle East will return to the desert. Vegas is an illusion that can’t exist. Now the competition tribal facilities scattered across the country is just adding to the death potion.

Vegas just costs too much to maintain. Deserts aren’t meant for men to live in let alone a place for recreation. Eventually, it takes awhile, people figure this out.

“Hell of a thing to base your economy on gambling, alcohol, and whores.”

Once they’re tired of gambling, alcohol and whores, there’s always the Grand Canyon. They can go down on a donkey.

We have a red governor. He needs to do better! Look at Florida for inspiration.

"000 added to the roulette wheels and 6/5
blackjack odds not helping matters"

Yep. I was there for 7 days first week in June 2025. Prices
are sky high and ridiculous. Hotel price was quite good
but then they tacked on the resort fees.
Used to be you could refuse them. Not any more.
I was there in 2019 also.
No worries about walking around town.

Now I noticed
the fentanyl zombies everywhere. Hotel security guards
having to chase them away. You have to say alert now and
notice whose around you. If you want a coke or something
to nibble on, go to a supermarket off the strip
or a gas station. Found good deals for drinks
at gas stations.

Want to see the Sphere?
$100 bucks or more to get in.
Ridiculous.

Go back to $10 steak buffets and single deck blackjack and comped shows and I’ll return.

Even Vegas can price itself right out of business.

They also go elsewhere (UAE) due to “better quality” of prostitutes

I imagine they aren’t tatted up over there like they are here.

“I also think COVID made a lot of people realize that they really don’t need so much stuff.”

Covid19 vaxxes messed up people sub-clinically, to where they are demoralized, tired, depressive and don’t want to do things. Americans were more lively and rambunctious in 2019 before Covid19.

The vaxxes also messed up many brains and minds.

he question remains whether this downturn is part of a cycle or a new normal.

The new normal is usually used to justify an outrageous speculative bubble just before things go pop. The usual response to a correction is "I am taking advantage of this opportunity to grab all the stocks I can at these bargain prices."

Bringing the grand prix auto race there also caused huge disruptions.

I was there right before the race and the streets were an absolute mess.
