The A's are expecting Vegas to pay for their new stadium. So far, they haven't said that they'll do that. Either they'll have to sell the team or move elsewhere (Nashville?)
Not being one thus hardwired, I defer to your knowledge in the area. As a reader of Swain’s books, I find it fascinating that people persist in the quixotic endeavor, maybe even knowing the odds against them. Then again, maybe they consider it fair exchange for the other perks of being sheared, like shows, lights, food, mass shootings and so on.
Maybe people are only just realizing that now.
Fair enough, I gave my thoughts on the decline, so what are yours?
What's the major attraction of tourism to Las Vegas?
you pay at any of the multiple kiosks on every street
My first visit to Vegas was 1998. Been there at least a dozen times since.
In 98 the waitresses were stunning and all had boob jobs. Streets were clean and prices were good.
Now? Pure ghetto and lots of homelessness. Marijuana openly used in streets. Prices are laughable. I don’t gamble.
Economic confidence might be a factor, but for sure foreign visits are down, especially Canadian.
International visitor spending to the U.S. is projected to fall to just under $169 billion this year, down from $181 billion in 2024.
York now forces you to install an app then give it your bank info then text some code #..
This is everywhere in town. Major pita..
