Myles Rowe is the first black driver to win at the Speedway at a major meeting when in 2023 he won both United States Auto Club USF Pro Series races on the road course during the Month of May. The USF Pro Series is a development series where the winner goes to NXT, and Rowe recently won the Iowa NXT round.
It was fair. He beat Larson in a battle that was determined by pit strategy (beating Larson on the last round of fuel stops) and fending him off when it seemed the Papaya would take over in the final laps. All Larson needs to win is on the road course an he’d complete a sweep of Indy’s 2.5 mile oval, 2.43 mile road course, and .200 mile dirt oval wins (he has a Bryan Clauson Classic win).
With Fox buying into the Speedway, possibility of NASCAR moving the Brickyard to the Month of May on the road course every other year is possible. Get it on the Sunday after the Indy race on the road course. It would become 103 laps on the road course with short track tempers flaring. If Larson wins on the road course, he could be the first driver to win on all three circuits of the Speedway.
