Have a problem history with a cop. Go to a cop’s house, walk down a driveway 100 yards long and have a confrontation with him? That’s a very damnfool thing to do.
And he keeps making a big deal about signs or no signs. When the homeowner walks out and tells you get off his property, signage is 100% moot.
The cop is probably a jerk, but in this case the auditor is in the wrong.

Kinda wish you didn’t make it personal. Conversations are better when everyone involved just sticks to the issues.
Anyway, I can’t claim to have watched every one of his YouTube videos (I spend most of my time on YouTube watching folk-rock videos).
But I have never seen this Sean guy deliberately go into a restricted areas. He does wander around hallways and offices where the public usually doesn’t go.
If you care to continue this conversation, please do. I might learn something new. But if you intend to question my honesty again, save both our time. I’ll just stop reading.

You should probably watch the cop at the 25 minute mark and on. No law against a cop spitting on someone’s face. If you spit in his face...it’s against the law....because he’s a cop.

At some point we constitutional conservatives are going to have to decide what type of law enforcement we want to have. Personally I think some (maybe even most) first amendment auditors push the line on civil behavior. However, I have to admit that even the worst auditors highlight how bad a lot of cops are.
Why do we tolerate the steroid-amped, tatted, full military-geared thugs that are shown on these videos?
I remember conversations we have had around certain religions, where we point fault at the ones that tolerate the terrorists. We should be having the same conversations about policing - why do we tolerate the “thin blue line” where the worst ones are protected by the “normal” cops?
Unfortunately this conversation goes much, much deeper than local policing. Our whole justice system is broken. The courts need to be looked at. The prosecution needs to be looked at. The punishment needs to be looked at. Heck, even the laws need to be looked at.
I’m not even sure we should justify the masked, unmarked vans methods that ICE is using.
But one thing from this video that jumped out to me was “if you (the cop) spit on me (Sean), there is no issue, but if I (Sean) spit on you (the cop) you will arrest me?” Indeed, police should not be a special protected class. That is what drives this resentment.

Spoken like a true liberal. All based on feelings. Except he broke no law. Not a single law. It’s best to stick to law and not be like that supreme court justice.

He has been sued successfully by people he has had runins with. Has multiple times been run out of restricted places. Has had numerous run ins by harrassing cops. And yet the little prick is still upright.

Most 1A auditors are trash. But they do highlight the minority of cops who are also trash.
So I must reluctantly say that we are better with these 1A people than without them. I just wish they’d focus on the police and other public servants, and leave private citizens alone.
I have seen 1A auditors aim their cameras on banks, and then get all offended when a cop asks them what they’re doing. These auditors are the trash I’m talking about.

Based on these videos, we cannot rely on the police to know the laws. And that is (mostly) fair for the obscure things. But, for example, I have received a few traffic tickets in my lifetime, and over half had the wrong code on them. You would think a cop that mostly gives out tickets would at least know well their “specialty.”
There’s that one judge in Houston that grills the prosecution in the Probable Cause phase, and tries to hold them to a high standard. Watching him, though, shows how bad things are. So many false arrests, or flat out lying in the cops’ write ups. Yes, he does cut breaks on folks that probably are guilty, but I prefer that over the Ruby Ridge or Branch Covidian treatment. And hopefully some of the folks he helps out straighten up their lives.
