Indeed. That's why phones are the worst way to take selfies and yet people do it all the time. The front part of the face looks exaggerated whereas the rear tapers off depending on how wide the lens is. ( Best portraits imo are made with a 200mm to 300mm lens )

I got hit by a car in a crosswalk two years ago. Broke both legs, the driver left me for dead. It was a freeway on ramp.
Lucky I had my cell phone to call 911. It was 4AM and light traffic, only two cars drove around me while I was laying in the road, waiting for the ambulance.
