I think we agreed back then that it was worse than no evidence - they actually had evidence, according to Assange, or maybe Snowden, that the speed of data transfer strongly indicated that it was hard drive directly to USB. That would rule out a remote hack and Crowdstrike knew it. Prosecute them too.
Would they fight or run? I suspect that after a few well publicized conversions many of them would flee the country.
