Pay now, or pay later... We are still going to have to pay for this either way.
I don't disagree. Different people can decide on different strategies to deal with the financial/societal crisis. It is clear that Congress as a whole will not provide a suitable answer, and I fear if there is a real collapse (think 2008 cubed), the result will be more government and spending, not less. Argentina shows us it doesn't have to be that way, but they had to hit a bottom below a bottom, and we could go Cuba as easily as we can go Argentina.
We are not going to get a stronger willed president than Trump, and the entrenched interests are digging in. I would prefer to slow the collapse and do what little we can, and appreciate the small victories (home schooling growth, 2nd Amendment personal right, overturn of Roe V. Wade) even as the society as a whole sleepwalks towards the cliff.
We all have our roles, and prayer and repentance should be part of any plan, because this is bigger than all of us put together. I respect those who go off grid and raise their children in peace. I also respect those who will be heard even if defeat on a personal level appears inevitable. I do not so much respect those who know the problems, and quietly tell themselves "I've got mine. Apres moi, le deluge".
