That is some of it for sure—but what freaked me out the most were otherwise reasonable elderly who lived at home and were independent but were brainwashed by the mass media and the state government.
That included some relatives.
What is scary is that is that if they could fall for that scam they were capable of believing any lies the authorities could dream up—no matter how ridiculous.
That makes them dangerous to themselves and everyone around them.
Sorry, you have no idea about what my view of God is. I wasn’t aware that God had a Christian view. In fact, you, as a human being, have no idea what God thinks. Nor do I, because I do not have the capacity to think like God thinks. I do know this, having seen the ravages of war, I can say that Man has little capacity for humanity when he assumes his own values and chooses to impose his own views on others with violence. Such as the Nazis. Such as the Muslims in Gaza. Such as any human is capable of.
Yeah, my own mom and dad, who would not see us.
Critical thinking went out the window.
The quote from Dune applies:
“Fear is the mind killer.”
“”””their religious belief that they were the ‘Master’ Race, given to them by God, and mandated to destroy the ‘evil’ they deemed Jews to be. The Arabs have no less fervor and justification for their barbarity against Jews, but have replaced the Christian concept of God with their own concept (Allah), and are justified in their minds.””””
My post was in response to your revealing view of God and what you call “the Christian concept of God” which you think Hitler had.
Many moons ago I saw a YT clip of an Obamatollah rally...and a rare moment of honesty when he said...
“When something fails, rebrand it then remarket it”
No doubt he learned that as a Community/Communist organizer.
Herd mentality: the uneasiness of being alone or worse, being humiliated and shunned, drives many people to override the protests of their common sense.
Agreed--but what I find amazing is the seeming ease with which that common sense is overridden. It does not seem to take much pressure to ignore that.
Hitler’s view of God is not my view of God. But he believed he was a Christian Warrior who was destined to purify the world. Comrade Putin also views himself as a Warrior for Christ, who is destined to lead Mother Russia to its version of the 3rd Reich. To quote the Christian Bible, 2 Timothy, there are many who perceive themselves as ‘Holy Warriors’, and they are the ones to be careful of. God commanded Israel to wipe out the Amaleks, but they did not do so. Now, fanatic Muslims are on a mission to cleanse the world for Allah and usher in the Islamic Caliphate of the 12th Imam.. It is the same story as written in the Bible for the last few millennia. The released hostages that I heard reinforced the idea that their captors believed they were on a holy mission for their Messiah, the 12th Imam.
But he believed he was a Christian Warrior who was destined to purify the world.
Hitler despised Christianity, even going as far to suggest that Islam was a better religion for soldiers.
Hitler wasn’t a Christian, he despised the religion and he did not see himself representing Christ, or Christianity, in any way, in fact his plan was to defeat it in time.
“First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.”
Born Catholic to Klara Hitler, and Baptized into the Roman Catholic Church. His Father was agnostic and hated the church, so he struggled with it until manhood. He also practiced some forms of paganism and eastern religions. From Steigmann-Gall, Richard (2003), The Holy Reich: Nazi Conceptions of Christianity, 1919–1945, Cambridge University Press, ISBN 978-0521823715., p. 265: “During the Kampfzeit and into the first years of the Third Reich, he maintained – both publicly and privately – that the movement bore some fundamental relationship to Christianity, as witnessed by his repeated intonations of positive Christianity and his repeated reference to the relevance, even priority, of Christian social ideas to his own movement. Then we see an apparent total rejection of those same ideas near the end.” So he admired certain aspects of the Catholic Church, and some of the anti-semitic teachings he received locally, but rejected the personal salvation aspects later in life because he evolved into the monster.

In the end, he was able to justify every atrocity he caused to happen because he was perfecting his concept of the world and cleansing it.
Like I said he wasn’t a Christian, post 51 gives you the rest, a person isn’t born into Christianity, it isn’t passed on through genetics or parental control in childhood.
