‘ Nations need a cohesive culture to survive. As I used to hear Michael Savage repeat: border, language, culture.’

Your religion, or anyone else’s, isn’t my culture.

‘Our freedom of religion springs from our nation’s Protestant roots. Specifically, our nation primarily exists because of Christians fleeing religious persecution (usually by other “Christians”).’

Freedom of religion springs from the resentment of the government forcing their preferred religion on everyone, which this bill is also doing. Why can’t you see that?

‘Most religions are not very tolerant of the concept of religious freedom.’

Obviously.

‘The first public schools in America, and nearly all of our colleges, were established with the goal of equipping students with a thorough knowledge of the Bible.’

So?

‘Somehow, we’ve gone from that to government-enforced religion of humanism. This includes indoctrinating children politically and morally.’

Calling something a religion doesn’t make it one.

Not sure the humanists in America want to come to grips they live in a nation that began with 13 Colonies, like Christ and His 12.
And grew to 50 states, like Christ’s New Covenant Church grew at 50..
And that sort of Divine Providence might to be a little too churchy for a nation not named Israel.

And America is as poor an example of His New Covenant ‘govt’ as the modern ‘Church’, but it sort of was supposed to.

It means the modern Church is no great example either..

That might make humanists smirk. Maybe other religions, too.

But the Nation and the Church are only a tail grab away from the serpent being transformed back into a proper law and order nation, and a proper staff the Church was to carry.

And that sort of event can cause people to believe.
Like it did Israel in the Old Covenant.

The entire finding meaning in matching numbers in unrelated events is strange and meaningless.

Those observations don’t make me smirk, they make me cringe as they attempt to create meaning out of nonsense.

What?

I sort of expected you to be perplexed but I copied you because you had replied to the other poster.

Not sure Divine Providence is a part of your belief system.

And certainly Divine Providence with regards to America is something that would make humanists maybe cringe a little, too.

I’m not at all perplexed. I’m very familiar with the thought process, I just find it destructive, disturbing and not the least bit productive.

The thought process of Divine Providence is destructive, disturbing and unproductive?
......

To humanists, of course.

To people of faith in one Nation under God, it might show that the end doesn’t have to be destructive, disturbing or unproductive..

There’s lots of hope in living in a uniquely, peculiar prophetic nation.

Your mileage will vary.

In God We Trust isn’t your thing.

100%

For those that buy into the prophetic bs it’s great. To everyone else there is eternal torture. Just look at the inter denominational threads here. It’s all poisonous.

Leave it out of our classrooms.

The Commandments are non denominational..They are Judeo-Christian.

And the beauty of the New Covenant is it was summarized into just 2:
Love God
Love your neighbor as yourself

Doubt little kids are going to be poisoned by that.

But again, your mileage will vary.

Lmao. You’re joking right?

‘And the beauty of the New Covenant is it was summarized into just 2:
Love God
Love your neighbor as yourself’

That whole love thy neighbor thing appears to have been lost in translation as evidenced by forums such as this.

‘Doubt little kids are going to be poisoned by that.’

The love thy neighbor thing is not part of the 10 commandments.

Love your neighbor is summed up with the last 6 of the 10 Commandments.

Here’s how one could summarize them to a child

Starts with honoring one’s parents.
Don’t murder.
Be faithful to your family.
Don’t steal.
Don’t lie.
Don’t desire what others have, be thankful for what you have

So, love your neighbor as yourself is a great summary of the last 6 Commandments..

Maybe a child would then see that their neighbor begins with their own family and doesn’t just mean the people who live around where you live.

But hey, that may be something a child can grasp of an adult can train them up.

Maybe your ignorance as an adult can be excused.

Your attitude on the other hand is only a reflection of your poor training.

Stuck on stupid doesn’t have to be permanent, but you are so good at it, it’d be hard to stop.
