Timely subject as the current SCOTUS term will end. Should Thomas and Alito quit while Trump has the rats in a tizzy or should they wait another year while we still have 53 seats? Replacements are always a conservative gamble. An election year appointment could bring faux conservatives out of the closet. Another Borking may be the entertainment we may need but when?

Since conservative judges so often disappointment it might be better to appoint one with a political background. Cruz would be great but too valuable where he is.

“We” don’t have 53 seats. For a number of critical issues, we don’t have 50.

Barrett has been a disaster on the level of Souter.

Be careful, we might get another Souter.

Just in general, the 3 Trump appointees to the Court are regularly criticized on Free Republic, for having gone liberal on us, on one case or another.

Which begs the question, will Trump appoint strong conservatives who people here approve of?

We never know when Justices will retire. But I’m sure every administration has plans for, what if they need to appoint a replacement Supreme Court justice.

He could put Linda there. Easy confirmation.

Cruz would be great but too valuable where he is.

Do you really think he wouldn't be more valuable as a SCOTUS judge than a Senator?

Do you really think Texas couldn't elect a suitable replacement?

They better be able to hold the Senate. It’s nearly impossible to get anything done with a simple majority and a couple of turncoats.

Mark Levin would be a great SCOTUS Justice; IMHO. But the three conservative Supreme Court judges Trump appointed were really RINO Mitch McConnell’s appointments.

Replacements are always a conservative gamble

The article says the SCOTUS is 6-3 conservative. I don't think so.

To say Roberts, Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch are conservative justices is like saying Collins is a MAGA senator.

Screw little Johnny’s Supremacist Commie Court. Americans need a place where they can go to seek justice. The judiciary has gone full illegal alien and is worthless to us. It’s a shame we have to pay the skanks and fags to screw us over.

Which makes us wonder, who is recommending judicial nominees, including possible Supreme Court nominees, in the 2nd Trump administration. Is he still listening to Mitch?

It may depend on the individual case. Some are not so earth shattering.

Hope Trump never takes recommendations for the court from the establishment as is Amy Coney etc. would love to see Mike Davis on the Supreme Court, a real conservative take no prisoners pit bull. He’s seen on Real America Voice.

True enough. Many consider all GOP appointed Supreme Court justices as conservative. Only Alito and Thomas are consistent as conservatives.

My crush would be Cameron of Ky.-Again. He’s young-too young for the left. He’s the same color as Clarence Thomas meaning the left will call out his ‘unqualified’ characteristics-racist of them.

Third and most important he’s shown his political leanings running for office. meaning he’s less likely to be a Manchurian republican. It would guarantee 30 more years of Thomas!

The ABA (American Bar Association) has a front row seat at making recommendations for judicial picks to whatever administration is currently occupying the White House. Always has. It needs to get it’s ass kicked out of town. F’n lawyers guild, full-on commiecrat.
