The S is for sulfur.
Yes they know this. Thats why you clean the area you want to apply it to, first. You can also add meds or natural substances to it to be absorbed into the area to provide additional benefits.
Sports teams have used dmso for decades. It works.
Not for the things claimed here.
See my 16 for the usage you’re talking about, which is not absurd.

Wow, that is cool history Sir. I for one appreciate you sharing that with us... :)
LOL, I am a sentimental person, and I guess retirement makes one reflective!
My brothers were were harness horse trainers and drivers. They used DMSO treatment if their horses were a little sore.
It is cool history, you have been around the block and done different things rather than just flow stagnant with the same field. But it is good to look back and reflect on the turning points in your life that sent you in particular directions and chosen forks in the road that led to where you are and who you are. :)
And a lot of it is sentimental. If you had never met particular people or made a wrong turn that ended up positive instead of negative it would have never turned out how it did. Being able to watch something like that evolve play by play is pretty cool and can be sentimental. It is like watching your kid grow up... lol
I am outside of the box regarding medicine, but I will never try DMSO.
Mr. GG2 uses it from time to time in roll on form. Once he rolled some on my wrist for pain relief. It burned like a so and so. Never again. 😉
Put it on the skin, taste it a few moments later ...
Yup. Used it on horses back in the day. Can still remember that garlicky chemical taste. Yuck.
ping!
When every choice you made is, after the fact, the right one...it is hard to complain!
I just started a DMSO roll-on this morning. Have chronic pain in thumb and wrist from several injuries long ago.
The kind I bought is pharmaceutical grade 70% with Aloe gel 30%. No perceptible stink on hand. I’ll see how it goes.
Not all DMSO is pure. Need to do your own research. I did. My background is such that I have enough confidence in my own research and knowledge to do this. Did the same on Ivermectin, Fenbendazole, Hydroxychloroquine, Methylene Blue...and using all of them.
No covid shot! Duh. I researched way back when and knew it was all a scam, and treatments would kill many, many people. Did start low dose Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine immediately, sunshine, Vits C, D3, K...
Never had so much as a cold since 2020.
DMSO IS a solvent, but is not toxic to humans in smart amounts. Well proven, many, many studies.
FDA panicked long ago, and tried like heck to ban it. Idiots.
Don’t injest unless you REALLY know what you’re doing. If applying to skin, do a small skin patch test on your forearm first. Seems the dilution with aloe advice is very common. Common side effects are itching (usually goes away quick enough), slight burning sensation (not actual burn), read up. Some people may be allergic, but nobody croaked (yet) if use properly. It’s actually very forgiving.
Some idiots used it without washing their skin first, and whatever’s on the outside gets a fast track inside if it’s a low molecular weight. Like some pesticides and drugs....
Anyhoo, I see the “Industrial Solvent!!!” batsignal went up immediately lol. Don’t tip over your easy chair pounding on the keyboard!
The strange thing is... At the time we might consider it an unsure and questionable decision. But when we look back we see what might have or would have happened if we hadn’t. That is when we realize the other option very well might have been even worse... And for that we are thankful after the fact that it did turn out to be the right decision... :)
I have looked back over the years and realized “man did I dodged a lot of bullets”. lol
Haven't we all, FRiend...:)
:)
I tried it back in the 70s after reading about it in a sports book (Jim Bouton’s Ball Four, I think), where it was touted as a cure for inflammation. Health food stores sold it back then - was supposedly a horse liniment. It didn’t help me so I stopped.
