I would consider spending maybe my first year or so of retirement on cruise ships. Get all the traveling out of my system and then settle down.

It's common sense that she should not allowed to gamble on ship. Imagine the issues that would arise if the wife of that crew member gambled away his paychecks.

Yea, in the 2000s life hit me hard and I sold off my 2,500 sq/ft home and re-grouped in a 500sq/ft Apt for 6 months to figure out my next chapter of life. Initially that 500 sq/ft seems soo restricting and constricting. Until after about a month. 2 months it was fine. At 6 months I realized this isn’t bad at all.
I did re-group to a smaller 1.200 sq/ft house, the basement is my shop, the living is maybe 800 sq/ft, and my daughter is living with me while she saves up to start her own business. It’s fine. It’s amazing how little space you need when you realize how to get rid of crap you don’t use, and thank God for just a safe place to be free.
