If you are a member who opposes this abominable decision, please visit these sites and lend your support.
Here's an article that explains the sad situation: https://www.foxnews.com/media/daughters-american-revolution-votes-continue-allow-transgender-members
In case you're wondering...No, the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) doen't allow women to be members. As their name states, they are a male-only society.
Too bad a few "enlightened" females are set on destroying an XX chromosome only, Patriot/Christian organization for the sake of political correctness.
My sister is eligible. If I were to identify as a woman I could be a member too. What are the benefits?
I think they should be able to do this. To me, it’s like saying drinking at age 12 is okay, otherwise it’s age discrimination. Some things deserve to be discriminated against, just like I think the girl scouts should be for girls and boy scouts for boys.
I identify as a Lesbian... Can I join??
My sister and I are both eligible but we just have no interest in pursuing it. Especially if they are letting trannies in. 😣
There is already a group called Sons of the Revolution. You might try that.
>>>>My sister is eligible. If I were to identify as a woman I could be a member too. What are the benefits?<<<<
Yes, Andy, according to the current rules, you could be a member
Go here to learn about the benefits: https://www.dar.org/
Revisionists.
and they want to use the women’s bathroom.
Well, you get to wear makeup and wear nice dresses. And pee with the girls.
Proof of XX or XY to participate. No gender identity crap.
My wife’s a member and also a Colonial Dame. (For what little it’s worth, I’m a Kentucky Colonel.)
The DAR isn’t a particularly activist group, so my wife (like most members, probably) hasn’t even heard of this controversy.
But what about gender fluidity. Suppose for part of the year you identify as a woman and the other part of the year you identify as a man. Do you only need to pay 1/2 of the amount of annual dues?
My wife and I are not members, but she sets up historical displays and gives lectures and we do presentations for the DAR frequently including association meetings where people come from all across the country. I agree that most members do not seem particularly political and many likely have any no idea that there is even a controversy.
I am a member of DAR - I hope my chapter never has to deal with this f-ing bullish!t.
Those MEN can join SAR - Sons of the American Revolution.
I keep my hair short so I don't have to comb it and keep a pair of dress jeans and t-shirt in case I have to go somewhere nice where people care.
Must specify REAL women, without penises, and born that way, with xx chromosomes.
Back in-my day, there were very few men who make it through a DAR meeting without tearing their hair out and bolting for the door about half way through. Times have changed.
>>>>I am a member of DAR - I hope my chapter never has to deal with this f-ing bullish!t.<<<<
The rules change is national. The DAR currently allows men to join its chapters across the country.
>>>>Must specify REAL women, without penises, and born that way, with xx chromosomes.<<<<
The DAR is an organization grounded in genetics, making it all the more ironic that its leadership wants to ignore genetics and biology in the by-laws and in the membership.

Please ask her to learn more about what’s happening by visiting the fb page

or the site

If she’s against this slap in the face to women, I hope she’ll help us work to return the DAR’s policy back to what it was.
