Judge is a female. This is “old” news as it was in a thread a few days ago. Put up or shut up, the judge is saying. In my humble opinion, if there is evidence it needs to be revealed to the Judge and public. I am waiting for the announcement today about the evidence.

That was my first thought, but I think this story is a late publication of the original story. When I opened it I thought the Judge would be giving an extension of time. We’ll see.

I mean this seems like a trumped-up (intentional word choice) way to explain a Habeas Corpus hearing, which is pretty standard procedure.

Hebeas Corpus is specifically provided for in the constitution.
She/He probably thinks she is also.
Looks like decision will be made on Friday after response by the USA.

The immigration detention center for most of these cases and I assume where he is held is FCI oakdale Louisiana.
Fed prisoners usually drug war cons are shipped there for deportation after time served if they are not citizens (at least up to Biden open borders)
It’s the immigration judge hearing there and is per the recent 5-4 scotus decree the designated joint and hearing spot
Correction:
ICE has a newer facility now than in my heralded days of familiarity with such travails lol
It’s in Basile Louisiana and is newer about 18 miles from Oakdale fci about mid way lake Charles and Alexandria
One other ICE detention site in Texas and also kalifornia
Many state fed and county joints will house ICE too for $$$
But those are the three dedicated joints run by ICE and hearings on or near site also with at least per scotus ruling last week …they have jurisdiction too
