Yes corn beef and cabbage is 100% an American dish made by Irish immigrants substitution of cheaper and plentiful American beef for their native salted pork. My redheaded Irish wife gets a kick out of St Patrick’s day and the corn beef craze every year. We went down to Greenville Ave this year after the parade and every restaurant everywhere had this American dish for the rabble to drunkenly guzzle down. What a cluster F that scene was. People falling down drunk at 4 pm not a one of them redheaded. She refers to herself as not a “daywalker” aka a super ginger.
