Really? You would have wanted to see World War 3 be the Muslim world vs. the Western world?
Attacking Mecca and Medina could well have set.off World War 3. We’ll never know because we didn’t do that.
You actually think the Saudis would have started a world war?
If it wasn’t for the west bringing them out of the 12th century, they would still be squatting around the campfire eating camel jerky.
No, the Saudis are incapable of defending themselves, much less initiating conflict against the west.
They knew Bush was a pussy which explains 9/11.
If Trump was in office, Riyadh would be a smoking hole today.
I think attacks against Muslim holy sites could have set off a chain of events leading to war. It wouldn’t just have been Saudi Arabia, but all those other Arab and Muslim nations, joining together to fight against us infidels and our war against Islam.
We’ll never know because it didn’t happen. I think there would have been some consequences to such actions. I don’t think we could have bombed Mecca and Medina and then that would be the end of it.
“Brooke Shields even watched Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with the TODAY anchor’s grandparents when they invited her to stay there.”
Oh wow!! This is the most amazing think I have EVER read!!!!!! (Seriously, how lame do you have to be to include this nonsense in the first paragraph?)
I hate the word “compound”. Reminds me of the Kennedys.
It’s really too bad that the Bushes are going to lose that house from rising sea levels caused by man-made global warming.
GWB operationalized the trifecta of globalism, socialism and crony capitalism as his bargain with the world to run up the national debt to “fix” the middle east by invading Iraq. Obama didn’t need to do nuffin because GWB showed the way. $36T in debt later we need to lay this at the feet of the family who should live in infamy.
we must be reminded that aristocratic families in politics still exist and they need to funnel their $$ somewhere - so they buy ‘compounds’ away from us mere mortals.
Maybe the reason that there is a dislike for Bush is because he is the exact type of Republican that Trump’s movement rebelled against?
Perhaps it is because W, like all the GOPe, would mouth the conservative agenda and then readily abandon it the second he received any pushback from the media. You know, the usual “hurting the old and children” schtick.
Maybe it is the neocons who ran his White House and us into war war war using 911 as the reason d’etre?
Maybe it is that when he was being relentlessly attacked by the Left, as badly as they attack Trump, he did nothing to defend himself. Maybe it is that we who were defending him were left to carry the water ourselves. Kinda hard to defend a guy who doesn’t defend himself.
And when his popularity plummeted because he did nothing to answer his critics charges, the GOP’s went with it and we got Barack Hussein Obama.
Maybe it is how he never had a bad thing to say about a leftist but couldn’t attack a conservative fast enough.
Or perhaps it was Bush’s kinder gentler open border policy to allow people in to do the jobs Americans wouldn’t do. Or was it to drive the cost of labor down for his bids in the Crony Chamber of Commerce?
Or maybe it is how when he was out of the White House he cozied up to Obama, even as Obama blamed him for every evil happening in the country so as to give himself cover. He continues the cozying to this day.
Or maybe it is how W hates Trump for daring to oppose Jeb “please clap” Bush because it was supposed to be his turn. Sure Jeb needed to figure out how to win without his base, but it was his turn. How dare Trump oppose America’s version of the Prince of Wales.
Or maybe it is because his globalist colors have been showing. America Last!!
Maybe it is because he simply is an elitist who shows every sign that he can’t stand the rabble who support Trump.
Or, is it just comparison shopping. We can compare Bush, his policies and his lack of execution therof to Trump’s.
“Civilization will pay for Bush’s stupidity for generations.”
What’s left of civilization.
“Bush was once venerated here same as Trump”
And if you said anything negative it was blasphemy.
That sentence makes no sense and was just random nonsense. First of all is the TODAY co-anchor, and why was the co-anchor’s grandparents staying at the Bush’s residence, and why did THEY invite a washed up 70s actress Brook Shields (Blue Lagoon) to stay there?
The Bush’s are the Rockefellers of our generation. Trump and Jimmy Carter might be the only modern POTUS that did not capitalize off of their time in office.
The money the Obama’s have made since leaving the White House is staggering.
Re. once venerated- see my post above. It isn’t a lifetime pass.
Kind of explains the Bushes leftward politics. Yeah, they had a place in Texas, but Maine is where they call home...
Where do you put Jimmy Carter?
> Where do you put Jimmy Carter? <
He’s a tough one to judge. I could be wrong, but I see him as an old-school patriotic Democrat. But he was incredibly and dangerously naive.
His biggest mistake was handling over Iran to the radical Islamists. The Panama Canal thing was probably a mistake, too.
What did Carter do that was positive? He did help broker a lasting peace between Egypt and Israel. So there’s that.
I was banned several years in the purge after Tony snow made press secretary
I’m sorry for howlin family losing her
But man she was a merciless hall monitor
What troubles me is we are often wrong and group think and poorly informed here
Even if we vote right
That may just be the nature of things dilbert
I put Carter as second worst after Biden.
I was alive when he was President and he was terrible. The economy sucked so bad we had over 20% prime interest rates. We had inflation and deflation at the same time, something previously thought impossible...
