Glad to hear she is still with us, I’ll be praying for her. Yes glioblastoma is horribly aggressive, you’re wife is one of the rare survivors, a miracle.

Have you noticed lately, even on this thread for example, a lot more people seem to be getting cancer today? A few other Freepers on this very thread have also had experience with glioblastoma, including one Freeper Polyxene who wrote me and said her husband passed the same way from diagnoses to death in 15 days.

Is it me or do a LOT more people seem to be getting cancer today?? Not to sound like Al Pacino from the movie “And justice for all” but something is REEAAALLY wrong here.

I don’t remember this many people getting cancer in the past at all, especially something like glioblastoma which is a rare cancer yet here were have several people on this thread who have had experience with it.

Is it the food like RFK Jr. says? The Covid vaccine? Pollution? Is it on purpose? That wouldn’t surprise me considering what’s been in office the past 4 years.

Thank you. My husband died in 2013, so before Covid. However, a friend died in 2023 of a turbo-cancer after receiving the initial Vax and a couple of “boosters”. Safe and effective — I don’t think so.

Wow. Tell me about it, I fell for the scam and got the double vaciine shot and got Covid about 3 months later so bad that it made me completely deaf for over a month.

To this day 4 or is it 5? years later I still have hearing issues, the doctor said for some reason my eustachian tubes are not draining properly so it sounds like I’m constantly underwater, it drives me nuts!

When I had Covid and was completely deaf for a month and a half, I had to write notes or text on a cellphone to talk to people as I could not hear a word, it was horrible. I learned a lot though, for example sign language is completely useless if the other person you are trying to communicate with doesn’t know it, and practically EVERYBODY doesn’t know sign language.

And on top of this I was constantly nauseous, constantly felt like my head was going to split open, and so much fatigue I could barely get to the bathroom and we can all thank Dr. Fauci and his gain of function research

And democrats wanted to build a museum dedicated to him. The bum should be doing life in prison.

Have you heard of the Optune? An old friend is still alive 8 years after diagnosis. She used this helmet after surgery and chemo. She was one of the army adopters. It was Cali, and her insurance covered the cost.

Sounds like malpractice...pt should have full knowledge so they can make decisions.

I absolutely agree. But I don’t have the fight in me anymore and it will not bring her back. I did turn all the evidence into the state medical board for investigation. That is all the fight I have left in me...

I am so sorry you are having continuing health issues. I had back surgery in 2021 and had to have the vax before the doctor and the hospital would do the surgery. I went into A-fib during the surgery and have been on Eliquis ever since. I never had heart issues before, and now, I am thinking the vax was the cause. Fauci and his minions should be in prison. Prayers for you, FRiend!

My wife refused Optune. She said it was too intrusive on her quality of life. She would need to shave her head every 2 days and were the arrays and backpack at least 18 hours a day.

The cost we were told was $21k a month and it would only extend life a few months. It might be a good solution for some but she wanted none of it.

It does seem there is a lot more getting cancer. It is likely a combination of things. It really needs to be investigated.

Sorry to hear of your wife’s illness. I mentioned the Optune because this acquaintance is a long term survivor. No one knows whether the helmet made the difference. I had no idea of the cost. My acquaintance was an early user, so the cost to her was likely zero.

8 years is a really long time to survive. If the stats are accurate, there are about 12,000 people diagnosed every year. At 10 years there are on average less than 70 (0.7%) survivors. At 4 years the number of survivors is about 780 (6.5%). With luck and the grace of God, those that survive also do with a good quality of life.

Whatever treatment a person selects, it only has to work for them. It’s all about kicking the can down the road until someday a cure can be found.

I am sure with insurance, it is whatever your max out of pocket will be for Optune.

There was a promising device out of Houston that looked like a 3 can beer hat. It used some type of rotating neo magnet that was tuned to resonate cancer cells until there structure fails. That one didn’t require shaving and only needed to be worn 6 hours a day. That one looked very interesting. Like most of these treatments, after several stories it just disappeared.

The idea behind the Optune is to disrupt mitosis with electric fields.

The person I’m referring to has survived, but has pretty significant cognitive issues(speech and reading disruption, memory gaps).

Unfortunately, that can happen. Often you have to cut through good brain tissue to get to the tumors. That’s never without a negative affect somewhere. Add in the cancer itself, the radiation and chemo take its toll too.

My tagline is a quote from a series of books called The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. It’s a Lord of the Rings type series. Thomas Covenant goes into a parallel world where his white gold ring has special powers. A few books later he goes back into the parallel world and gets his power back but they are broken. That’s how I see glioblastoma. If you survive the treatments, you don’t comeback the same.
