“Under the bombs” really good read on Dresden. Drop big bombs to make kindling. Drop incendiary bombs to light the kindling. So to speak.

Yes indeed!! Dresden was also a “R&R” area for wounded German military.

Sorry, but I don’t see any reason for the people of Dresden not to mourn their dead. With casualties of war, there is a difference between the macro and the micro levels.
