So it seems that you believe that because Spain, then Mexico defeating the Native Californians makes California Mexico’s but you don’t believe that Americans defeating Mexico for California and then paying Mexico for California makes it belong to America?

This is the way the world has worked forever, conflicts over territory between two peoples with the land going to the victors. It’s what happened in Mexico with land taken from Los Indios, and it happened in what became America between the ‘Native Americans’ long before Spaniards, Mexicans or Europeans arrived.

Ridgecrest, next to China Lake Naval Air Station, is not the prettiest city in California, but it is in an isolated area in the High Desert of eastern Kern County which keeps the population and rift-raft down.
