The South Koreans in Vietnam were greatly feared. They found by chopping off heads made the vietnamese fearful because of the superstition the head must be attached to enter the next life.
So the Koreans chopped heads and put them on pikes.
My neighbor had photos( marine mechanized) and showed no concertina around the Korean huts at all, sometimes not even a guard.

Those stories had me switching my martial arts from Japanese to Korean but the Japanese are just as feared warriors.
Their credo is to always finish what you start and if you fail you die instead of suffering the lifetime of humility of having failed.

Rookie troops going up against vets almost always suffer heavy casualties.

The difference between this and any other on the job training is mistakes here get you dead instead of chewed out or fired

Not many of today’s American soldiers would sacrifice like that. The Bowie Bergdahl example would be more prevalent.

The only bullsh__ here comes from pro-Putin trolls. Yes, there are North Korean troops in Russia. That you don’t want to believe it doesn’t matter to anybody, including Putin.

The "angry troll" ploy. The zeepers got all the angles covered.

LOL - and you have all the evidence, don't you?

So did the Japanese in WWII. It didn’t help them when they caught a bullet.

I keep seeing reports/claims of NK troops here and there in the SMO. But no one seems to have hard evidence. Which has led in turn to an exaggerated skepticism on the part of commenters on those reports. My take is it is reasonable that NK would seize a chance to get some solid combat experience if Russia offered it. So my guess is that the truth is somewhere in the middle of "thousands of Norks lying dead on the battlefield" as some lurid reports claimed without evidence, and "No NK troops at all" on the other.

To the latters point, there is an ethnic Korean population in eastern Russia such as around Vladivostok, so just finding a corpse that looks Korean means little. I mention this because at least one report claimed the sneaky Norks were wearing Russian uniforms. And now we see an oddball claim of NK troops conveniently blow themselves to smithereens to avoid capture - and confirmatory evidence. No doubt using the same self-demolition kits Bigfoot uses so that people can never find sasquatch remains...

Yes, multiple sources has reported much the same thing in the past several months - allegedly 12,000 were sent, with 4,000 now dead. More may be on the way, along with various artillery and radar systems.

Most of te NK troops are not on the front lines, but in the rear.

A group of NK troops attack Russian positions several times - reasons unknown - both sides suffered casualties. The language barrier may be at the root of these attacks.

Reminds me of the Japanese in WW II—Death rather than dishonor. Next we will see Koreans flying old Mig 17s into buildings as kamikaze attacks.

Not sure I would swallow a grenade after pulling the pin, but if Zelensky says so, it must be true. LOL!

Video or it didn’t happen. The Kursk offensive is evidence for me that it has been Ukraine, and not Russia, using wasteful human wave tactics.
