Awesome!
The link was a leftist idiot trying in the BLM year to prove that Eli Whitney knew and intended it would increase the need for slaves.
He thought he had a machine that would replace scores of slaves picking seeds from cotton by hand, with one or two turning a machine. He was from Massachusetts, and even had a even had a goal of reducing the need for slaves in America. Only a leftist moron would vilify him for that.
It’s utterly childish to do so. It’s a sacrament of BLM to think he was responsible.
As I said, might as well blame the Wright brothers for the bombings of WWII.
That would be one dry martini.
Good presentation of economic facts, devoid of propaganda. Fifty years from now I wonder what Elon Musk will be blamed or praised for? Dangerous microbes brought back from Mars? More efficient energy producers in less space?
I agree with everything you just said and believe that Whitney was a great Christian of European decent, HOWEVER...
I can’t help but think that without Whitney I might have been able to walk down the urban streets in my own country without getting mugged.
The butterfly effect is real and sometimes we can’t anticipate the ultimate consequences of our actions.
