The Ottoman Empire ended with WWI. General Kemal was the only reason that Turkey survived. Kemal was NOT an Islamist. Most say he was an Atheist.

Kemal and Turkey sat out WWII. Turkey became a NATO member to counter Russia.

The Kemalists may one day, deal with Erdoo (Erdogan).
