To me it doesn't. Many of us don't have a "side" in this issue. The Ukraine and Russia are two of the most corrupt countries in the world. For me, it is kind of like a fight between the Bloods and the Crips- I want to stay informed but I don't want to be drug into it.
I try to stay current because I am trying to figure out the secondary and tertiary effects of these conflicts.
For me, the most fascinating part is the quick advancement of “small-tech” warfighting solutions and how pressing consumer tech into warfare is changing how wars need to be fought. Take these sea drones for instance. It’s only a matter of time until someone rigs them with remotely-launchable MANPADs. The implications for asymmetric warfare alone are enormous let alone how they’re affecting battlefield operations. I’m especially concerned about what notes terror groups are taking.
And, 20% seem to be whatever nonsense was spouted that day on the View.
Equally irritating.
Robots with machine guns. What could possibly go wrong with that?
I guess we’re ARE living in interesting times.
I do believe that we don't need manned fighter planes anymore, we just need to figure out how decrease the communication time lapse between the human controllers and the drones. Maybe manned aircraft 100 miles behind the drones?
The USAF is already talking about having a single manned aircraft coordinating many AI-enabled “wingmen” that take the kind of risky missions that we wouldn’t want to risk a highly-trained pilot on.
I don’t know about you, but anytime we put an aviator in a position where someone can shoot at him, it is risky.
Of course it is, but not as risky as the kind of missions that they’re contemplating for the drones to undertake. That’s the point: to limit risk to pilots.
😂😂🤣🤣
The weepers are spamming the living daylights out of free republic.
That was pathetic.
Are they getting desperate for attention, or you?
