US President-elect Donald Trump's pick for national security advisor on Sunday urged to stop the escalating war between Ukraine and Russia and said that the country "needs to restore deterrence and peace."
In an interview with Fox News, Mike Waltz said, “We need to bring this to a responsible end. We need to restore deterrence, restore peace, and get ahead of this escalation ladder, rather than responding to it."

"President Trump has been very clear about the need to end this conflict," he stated to Fox News.
"We need to be discussing is who's at that table, whether it's an agreement, an armistice, how to get both sides to the table and then what's the framework of a deal?"

There are a lot of interesting discussions and interviews amid the political chatter today. It’s often difficult to filter which ones actually matter in the big picture. This is one of those interviews’ worth watching.
Incoming National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, brother-in-law to nominated U.S. Surgeon General Janette Nesheiwat and husband to former DNI policy chief Julia Nesheiwat, appears on Fox News to discuss his priorities for the national security system under President Donald Trump.
Within the interview Waltz makes sure the collective NATO “west” get the unity message about U.S-Ukraine policy:
“Jake Sullivan and I have had discussions, we’ve met,” Waltz says in the interview.
“For our adversaries out there that think this is a time of opportunity, that they can play one administration off the other — they are wrong. We are hand in glove. We are one team with the United States in this transition.”

Mike Waltz is married to Julia Nesheiwat, the sister of Surgeon General nominee Janette Nesheiwat.
Julia, who -like all other people who work in DC silos- has never taken a married name. Julia Nesheiwat was born in Carmel, New York, in 1975 to Jordanian Christian immigrants and raised in Umatilla, Florida. She has a BA from Stetson University, an MA from Georgetown, and a PhD from Tokyo Tech.
Julia Nesheiwat became a military intelligence officer. She received the Bronze Star Medal during Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq. She departed the military as captain. Julia Nesheiwat served in several U.S. administrations. Under George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump, she held senior national security and economic policy positions. Her most notable role was as Trump’s 10th Homeland Security Advisor from 2020 to 2021. Her Bush administration posts included State Department seniority and Office of the Director of National Intelligence Policy Chief.
Suffice to say their bedroom conversations are likely Intel Community shop talk.
While it’s interesting that Congressman Mike Waltz was selected to be President Trump’s National Security Advisor, it’s actually Julia Nesheiwat that carries the curriculum vitae that seemingly qualifies her for the job. This will be an interesting dynamic to watch unfold.
There is no such thing as mis-dis-mal-information, there is only "information". However, the background information can often assist in giving context to the events that unfold in/around the DC silo system.
Why do I hear echos of “Peace With Honor”
Peace through strength.
Yep. Ukraine must have elections.
The Ukie Dictator must not be allowed at the Peace Table until
elections.
What “responsible end” doink?
“Responsible end” means neither side gets it all and a complete return to normalcy afterwards.
Biden trying his hardest to end the world before Trump can end the war.
General Valerii Zaluzhnyi will be the next President of Ukraine.
Send Ukraine nukes, too!!

There is no discussion to be had - the only way to end it is for Russia to withdraw completely, something Putin will never do.
+1, what you just now said exactly right there.
Never happen. Anything like that sort of “deal” would usher in a long period of world instability with bloody wars everywhere, as tyrants see that aggression pays.
it’s just a matter of where the new border will be drawn.

Right where the border was drawn pre-2014
Why do I hear echos of “Peace With Honor”
—
Or “peace in our time” ...
“Responsible end” means Russia withdraws completely, including from Crimea.
The WEF EU globo homos want back to business as almost usual with Putin’s regime and will try to use President Trump to get it.
“Russia agreeing to end de-dollarization should be non-negotiable for us.”
Demand another country use the dollar as the basis for trade. And we also refuse to allow them to use SWIFT, and we confiscate their hundreds of billions on account, and insist on a right to push massive sanctions.... and they MUST use the dollar.
Got it lol
It's idiots like YOU that consistently rejected peace with Russia.
We promised Russia no eastward expansion of NATO in the early '90s and expanded to their borders.
We fomented an illegal coup in Ukraine and installed a puppet government hostile to Moscow on the Russian border.
We had Ukraine sign and renege on the Minsk Accords that would have prevent this war.
It was Boris Johnson that killed a peace deal reached in Turkey between Russia and Ukraine that would have ended this war.
At every turn, it's neocon/globalist foreign policies, not Russia or any foreign country, that poses the gravest threat to US and Western citizens.
The vast majority don't want a war with Russia or WW III and see no national security issue in Ukraine. WE WILL GET OUR WAY -- AND END TO THIS WAR. Trump will end it and Ukraine will be forced to give up territory, territory where the population doesn't want to go back to being part of Ukraine.
Give it up or get your gutless ass to Ukraine and fight and die there.
You’re obviously not taking the “responsible peace” and “deterrence” thing very well.
