Why would it given a President they voted for was removed from power illegally?
And, why would think Russia would tolerate an illegal coup, fomented by us, that was hostile to both Moscow and the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine?

French President Emmanuel Macron said that a major Russian air barrage against Ukraine on Sunday showed that Russian President Vladimir Putin "does not want peace and is not ready to negotiate".
Putin is doing his negotiating on the battlefield. When Ukraine tires of negotiating its way to an ever shrinking Ukraine, it will petition for peace.
