Witnesses say the fall was actually quite harmless, rather hitting the ground was what did the damage.

Never heard of this guy. Never heard of "One Direction". This is the first and last time I will ever hear of them. A minute of my life lost forever.

There’s only one direction in the faces that I’ve seen,
That’s downward to where the pavement said to be

RIP Liam Payne.
For Gen-Z girls, this would be like Paul McCartney dying in 1965.
My daughters all loved “One Direction” but (thankfully) not to the exclusion of real life.

I heard about them because I watched a “reaction” video of a less than teenage girl reacting to a Beatles song. The young girl said that the Beatles reminded her of the group, “One Direction”
I looked at 2 of their music videos....some kind of meandering tunes with the group running on a beach somewhere..insipid...tune could have easily be generated by AI...very little musical talent of any sort displayed.

A mostly PEACEFUL fall.
Amazing how young, famous people are dying..
....when you’re out on the road, and feeling quite lost
Remember the burden of fame...

For Gen-Z girls, this would be like Paul McCartney dying in 1965. As opposed to 1966, when he really did? :-)
