Oh. Okay. I never did see any Eddie Murphy movies at the theater. I’ve seen bits and pieces on DVD with friends over the years. I went through a 15 years period where I stopped going to see any new movies. Some were so famous. I refused to follow the crowd.

What a good actor. So good in Good Times.
Had a part as Major Grant, commander of a thoroughly compromised special forces Army unit in Die Hard 2.

Nowadays. the term “partner” can be problematic until the context is made clear.

Indeed. Esther Rolle brought a lot of class to that show.

More heartbreaking then with that episode when I saw it as a young person than with his passing now.
My condolences to his friends and family.

Dear Lord what a week: Maggie Smith, Kris Kristofferson, Pete Rose, Dikembe Mutumbo, John Ashton, and now John Amos. Prayers for them all.
And, Frank Fritz from American Pickers.

I liked Hugh Beaumont
and also William Schallert (Patty Duke Show). (He was a very widely used character actor in the day.)

I heard that John Amos left the show because he didn’t like playing second fiddle to Jimmie Walker.
