No additional info in the article. Home pics, etc.
Lot of local NYC coverage. Looks like a well-kept neighborhood, with near neighbors mostly Italian names.
No shortage of home intrusion crimes around there.
Perp descriptions sparse, but one dim security cam indicates masks.
They caught some guy that committed a burglary after stealing a car at the Seattle airport, drove it to the owner’s suburban home and used the garage door opener to get inside. The owner was overseas but got a notification on his phone.
The burglar took a safe with over $100k in cash and a bunch of fancy handbags, jewelry, etc. I imagine it was the home of a CCP Chinese person. They have been targeted due to their wealth and they like to have lots of cash on hand.
After a chase and crash the police caught the thief. A clear photo of the box truck that he used, his name, but no photo of him. Make of that what you will. They did put a bail of $15,000 on him though. (I’m sure he was out that night after paying $1,500 to a bondsman - that’s crazy having a bail so low!!)
An associated news story said how auto thefts at the airport and the nearby long-term parking lots are rampant.
