It’s not so much the human waste as it is the management of it.
But then again leftards don’t believe in science or biology so I wouldn’t count on them following waste management practices.

How do they know it’s the squatters pooping by the trail and not the hikers? DNA analysis? I would think the squatters would camp (and poop) a bit back from the trail. It seems like a convenient excuse to clear out the squatters.

We lived there in the late ‘60s and then went back in the late ‘80s.
We were shocked and disgusted with the conditions of the beachparks, which were lovely when we lived there.
But, even in the ‘60s there were naked hippies occasionally shocking the tutus and mama-sans in the more remote towns.

The official, accepted cause is: Cause unknown.

Secondarily is “We don’t have squatters. And if we do, we don’t talk about them.”

If the squatters are pooping, won’t they catch the novo, too and thus they will “squat” more?

I’ve been “stuck” at Tahiti Nui when waiting for the water to go down to cross the bridge.

Squatters can get a few bucks picking snails off the taro and harvesting when it comes time. A strange place but fun if you’re accepted by the locals.

With so many outbreaks,
what are these hikers doing
where they come into
direct contact?
Eating available fruits
or drinking the water
along the way?
This stuff spreads by
direct ingestion or
direct contact with an
infected person. It’s
not an airborn illness.
I would suspect hepatitis
or staff infections to be
more prevalent.
Unless these hikers are
stepping in the s*it.
Don’t know about these
hikers, but out in the
boonies, I’m very aware
of where my feet land.
