By the way, I'd never heard if Cooper till today, but then I don't follow Carlson despite him being very popular. I did listen to the podcast so I can attest to the quotes being accurate.
One can be disgusted at the Olympics, angry at the gunman, and appalled at anarchy without finding in Hitler and tyranny attractive alternatives. Someone presenting himself as a historian could be expected to have a more judicious choice of words.
What’s with the hitpieces on Tucker Carlson, NeverTrumper?
Carlson’s deep state.
Tucker has good judgment. That doesn't mean he agrees with his guests all the time.
Headline of the article starts out by invoking Godwin’s Law.
They’re just clutching their pearls when someone says Hitler wasn’t satan on earth.
At any rate, I’ve already watched the interview and Cooper was making some salient points about Churchill (I’ve read his History of the second world war and his Frontiers and wars). Basically, he was just saying that the Germans didn’t pick Hitler out of the blue and there were reasons for how they thought.
I found it disturbing the historian swept Iran and China’s aggressive behavior under the rug. Both nations have declared war on us.
Tucker apparently smokes Dorkbama’s pot.
Tucker would be wise to steer clear of people like that.
I suspect Carlson had him on to present an uncommon view of Hitler. Hitler is made out to be the worst of the left so that nobody take a good look at communism to see that fascism and communism are the same thing, except they differ on the nature of the bureaucracy. Fascism believes in using private enterprise to generate wealth that can be taxed and redistribution and communism believes in owning everything for the good of the people.
I would have to see what Tucker said to that.
Mediate.....
Sounds like he is just recycling the same revisionist BS that has been going around in certain circles for decades.
> Cooper claimed that Winston Churchill was the “chief villain” of World War II because he “was primarily responsible for that war becoming what it did.” <
I had (past tense) great respect for Pat Buchanan. But then Buchanan made kind of the same argument. Even though Chamberlain was prime minister at the time, Buchanan blames Churchill for not letting Hitler just have Poland.
After all, Hitler had no territorial ambitions past Austria. Oops, I mean past Czechoslovakia. Oops, I meant past Poland.
I was planning to watch this podcast Lai. I suspect Mediate is distorting or putting things out of context. Tucker is a big target for the Left as he questions their narrative.
>> Cooper’s tweet: “If you’re having a bad day, just remember that Trump’s shooter is wandering around Hell ...”
Whitewashes Holocaust
Accepts assassination narrative
Don’t we have better things to do than trash Tucker Carlson?
Live and let live.
More of your same crap.
As a Historian, Cooper is supposed to comment on factual information. On the facts, he’s correct. The RAF began bombing German cities on the 16th of April 1939. The German Blitz of Britain did not begin until well over a year later.
America needs al lot more people like Tucker.
MIAMI REBEL FREQUENTLY POSTS THINGS HERE TO TRY TO SHAME THE RIGHT
Richard Nixon, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Bush 41 and 43, and even Donald Trump, who has a Jewish son-in-law have been called Hitler—so maybe Hitler wasn’t so bad.
