The program was paused for a short period because there was so much fraud and corruption involved with who came. I wonder if any of these gang members were part of that program.

I think you’re correct, if Colorado officials acted immediately then local and state police could probably handle the situation, the longer they allow this gang to dig in, the more likely they will need to call up the National Guard.
I read an article from a City Council Woman in Aurora who tried to visit the apartment complex that has been taken over, she reported, they have lookouts posted 24/7 so the police are not sneaking up on the apartments for a surprise raid.
And the other demonrat governors.
They should have gone in last year.

Polis is already personally wealthy and comes from a wealthy family. His parents were trust fund children who never had to work and acquired a completely socialist viewpoint. Jared Polis was a "red diaper baby".
Polis worked in one of the family businesses for a time and managed a credible performance at what he did. That is to his credit in my book, since he did not need to do anything but cash trust fund checks. He seems to have ambitions and something to prove to somebody.
He did make a lot of money for the Polis family during his years as a congressman through completely legal insider trading. He is quite intelligent and has a charming personality, with a politician's gift of making a person to whom he is talking feel like they are the most important person in the room. Again, in my book, that makes him quite dangerous. It is not a plus.
Polis is a "true believer" in the Progressive Narrative(tm). He will not accept any notion that illegal immigrants can be criminals. In the "Narrative", even criminals are not criminals, they are victims of racist oppression, blah blah blah. How he can square that circle with the presence of armed Venezuelan gangs in Aurora is a grand example of socialist doublethink.
Polis had no trouble hiring rings of competent security staff for his public appearances when he was a congressman. And he has been very careful to protect his family as Governor of Colorado. At some level, I am sure he understands just how dangerous the Venezuelan gangs really are. But I doubt he will ever say anything in public about this.
I understand how serious this is and that innocent people are being terrorized. But this is what blue states have voted for. I only hope this red pills the hell out of Colorado.
This is tailor made for the National guard, Especially if a unit contains some Spec Forces transferees. You don’t warn. You don’t threaten. You assault and clear. It will not end the phenomenon. It will clear out these apartments but the operation is under weigh. Other apartment will be invaded, probably with heavy weapons. A sort ofinvasion/civil war is begun, I think.
What I see happening is that they'll wait until Trump gets elected so he'll do the dirty work. But I think he should defer to the Governor of Colorado. After all, he has the Colorado National Guard.
