5.3 near Bakersfield my sis felt it good in Calabasas by the time it came here to LA it was very little

That’s a lot of quakes in a relatively small area.

Looking at the USGS map, the area seems to be in the “bend” of the fault line, where it stops heading west and starts heading northwest along the coast.

What does Dutchsinse say?

He’ll attribute it to oil drilling, would be my guess. He likes to point out the drill sites in the southern San Joaquin Valley
