Sadly, they did. In the 1990’s I was part of many “growth through acquisition” efforts.
Wal-Mart started with a great and good model: Bring products from around the nation to all Wal-Mart stores across the nation. They gave the small manufacturer shelf space. Once Sam died, that model became predatory and they also sold out the USA to China.
