I-75 goes east-west at the bottom of the state running from Naples into Broward County. The section of highway is known as “Alligator Alley”. This would at the eastern end of the highway.

I can see a soccer mom being confused by the carjacker’s odd behavior, and stopping. After all, this is not a common occurrence in the United States…yet.
