The taxpayers were brutalized in this horrid deal.

If every government just said “NO” to this corporate welfare - pro-sports would still exist, teams would still play in large stadiums, games would still be on TV - but ticket prices would be lower, players and owners would just make a little bit less money, and I suspect there would be less “wokeness.”

The owners bribe city council members to get these deals—the city council creeps are laughing all the way to the bank.

This is klassic kleptocracy.

Fine. Does congress get involved? If the city wants to embrace the suck it’s not the business of feds. Same with big city mayors letting their cities rot-am I right?

On the other side we can all remember when congress got involved to make it mandatory to televise home games sold out 72 hours before kickoff. Turns out it was good for business. The guy sitting at home who bought a 6-pack to watch was paying for it along with the taxpayers. NY wanted the Bills to stay in NY.

Suburban housewives care? See a lot of lesbians at. the games.

This is about to happen in Jacksonville.....meanwhile the team owner just bought himself a new super yacht....and named it the same as his previous one.....not very original for a billionaire.

“Does congress get involved?”

The kleptocracy extends across the land—from sea to shining sea.

The link I gave exposes one fraudulent stadium deal after another in a variety of sports—though the NFL is the most blatant and largest of the ripoffs.

Asking Congress to fix it is like putting gasoline in the hoses on fire trucks.

Some folks who talk secession around here have no clue just how corrupt their local governments are.

The stench of these stadium deals is a great tell.

Eventually, it'll backfire.

Gen Z is not really interested in attending the sporting events.

$200 for a ticket to watch the Panthers take on the Browns?

David Tepper is Daniel Synder’s replacement as the worst owner in the NFL.

Maybe the NHL team should get the $800 million stadium.

“Bank of America Stadium”

A true sign of modern America, they may as well just make sports CGI generated TV and drop the pretense that it is gritty and human, real and full of passion and play.
