You would be right if the dog was a pit bull, but it wasn’t. Distinctions like that don’t matter to some FReepers.
“I would have done the same thing.”
Agree, it’s not like she was trying to get a selfie. I suspect the dog appreciates her effort.
THIS!!
It’s a dog, not worth a human life!
I love our dog, but if it’s me or the dog, well, it’s me!
Now if i have a weapon, like an ‘06 in my hands, different story!
Woman chasing bear ........ not smart!!
I like dogs, too, but she got lucky this time. Her risky behavior for an animal exposed insurers, and indirectlly US as their customers or taxpayers, to the risk of having to pay her medical and welfare costs.
Woman chasing bear becomes lunch bears know how ton use bait too.
I grew up in the Sierra Nevadas. Bears were a part of life. Maybe I was dumb but the best way to get rid of bears sneaking around was to scream and yell, make a racket and chase them. They were pretty timid brown bears and would run away. Never had one stop and turn around. Fire crackers were good too.
There are smart dogs, stupid dogs, and REALLY stupid dogs that chase cars, bite their owners, poop on the floor in the morning, and in the medal category, run after a mama bear with cubs.
Stupid is as stupid does (Forrest Gump).
Luckily the bear had eaten some tourists earlier down the road when it came across these folks....
