Will have to pull the FAA passenger flight safety rules/statutes— but pretty sure because she WAS a standout pain the in A@@ and refused voluntarily to get off the plane at the request of the pilot (legally who can insist she leave either voluntarily or under police escort, btw. The pilot commands the plane.
Don’t think they have to take all their carryon bags off just themselves with their seat assignment/ticket getting back on.. but yeah it is a hassle. For reasons of in flight safety controllable to this extent. For example some crazy sitting on the exit row tries to (cannot do so in cabin pressurized flight) open the door, say while taxiing to runway. That kind of threat on a fueled jet airliner engines running (fire hazard,etc.).
She will really have to answer for this idiotic behaviour- cost her a lot to run her mouth and refuse direct orders of the pilot.
The airline can't afford the lawsuits from other passengers injured when the offender is removed from the plane.
The airline staff know they have to pull all the luggage to get the offender's luggage from the plane before they can take off anyway and they'd rather have the passengers in the terminal instead of jammed into seats. In addition to the increasing level of aggravation among the passengers, there are separate laws for how long the passengers can be kept in their seats.
Ghettopottami like this are in large measure why we can’t have nice things.
It is a strain to even go out in public around them anymore. They are increasingly causing more and more social disruption and degradation.
Scott Adams was 100% correct.
I like that idea. They have lost my business anyway so it does not matter much to me. I have flown enough and won’t fly coach at all. Not with the riff-raft that pass for humans these days.
“If you are seated in an exit row”
The airline assigns seats unless I choose to pay extra.
At the time of booking, the airline could ask if I was willing and able to help with exit row responsibilities if it doesn’t have a person already assigned.
I only learned of exit row responsibility eight days ago.
“I don’t understand this either. It sounds like it means that whoever is in the exit row has to help others get off the plane if there’s trouble. This gal first said she would help herself before she helps anybody else, but then agreed verbally to the terms of the exit row instructions. So I don’t understand what the problem was.”
Instructions are only how to open the door. “Lady” had an misunderstanding and proceeded to tell staff “You’re wasting your breath” and “Get out of my face”.
” They must agree to assist other passengers and the attendants in an emergency requiring egress through the emergency door on the row(s) where they are seated.”
I have never seen nor been advised of that requirement.
A few months ago I was flying om small jet and had an aisle seat at the door. I had to agree to operate the door in a emergency. “No, problem, dear, I was in the Army Airborne so I know to quickly get people out of airplanes!”, I exclaimed.
True Story.
Aha! a ghettopotamus rex!
That is true, but do you really think she has a horizon far enough out to even have an inkling of what you have said?
Just the females.
Thanks. I appreciate the professional perspective.
And that last row seat sucks. Ask me how I know.
“Group punishment does NOT work. Peer pressure is way over rated.”
Exactly. We have already seen the destruction they can cause and they now know the power they have.
The correct name is ghettopotomous.
Liability. They remove everyone to prevent injuries in case the stubborn one goes bat guano crazy.
Also, no more video or witnesses with a different narrative.
“It’s explicit.”
After stowing the door and activating the slide EXIT the plane.
It’s amazing how people will be ridiculously difficult.
Sounds like it started when the passenger said they would follow the exit row instructions and then made a joke that they weren’t helping nobody but themselves, ha ha ha. Well, that was a mistake. Just like you can’t tell bomb jokes on a plane you can’t tell jokes about not operating the exit properly. Someone likely passed the passenger’s statement on to the flight attendants. When a flight attendant came back to confirm that the passenger understood and would actually follow the proper exit row procedure the passenger decided to get lippy with the flight attendants and call them insulting names. That was another mistake. Passengers are not out on the street or in a store. If someone doesn’t follow instructions people could die. Airline staff aren’t going to tolerate any passenger’s BS about safety. Once the passenger started saying what she was and wasn’t going to do it was time for her to go.
No, I didn’t slander you. My purpose is to warn you not to become involved in the sewing of racial division.
